Plots: Inspired by a contest held by Duke Avant of Listwich, travelers pursue tales of a lost treasure to a village which has been razed to the ground by brigands, and encounter Autumn Elves. They discover that the town's occupants have been raised as Undead and now haunt the grounds at night. They are alternatively harassed by soldiers of the Black Duke and of Dakkor. A few questors find a broken altar and reconstruct it, making an offering at sunset; as a result, an ancient shrine to a forgotten goddess appears. The travelers find sanctuary from the Undead within the shrine, and a decrepit Caretaker tells them his goddess needs a new Prophet. Samira agrees to become the Prophet, and the Undead are repelled. The treasure is found within the shrine ruins, and given to Garrett so that he may claim Duke Avant's prize of knighthood and a fief of land. An escaped Totem finds the travelers, but is shortly recovered by Dakkorian soldiers.
